Golden Reunion Tiger Prawns

Ingredients:

  • 500 g Tiger Prawns / Sea Prawns (deveined with shell on)
  • 50 ml Cooking Oil
  • 50 g Butter

 

Prawn Marinade:

  • McCormick Iodized Sea Salt Grinder, to taste
  • 1 tsp McCormick Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp McCormick Black Peppercorn Grinder

 

Golden Crumbs:

  • 40 g Breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp McCormick Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp McCormick Black Peppercorn Grinder
  • McCormick Iodized Sea Salt Grinder, to taste
  • 2 Stalks Curry Leaves (finely chopped)
  • 1 Chilli Padi (finely chopped) – optional

  • Mix all the golden crumbs ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
  • Heat cooking oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Place the marinated prawns evenly in the pan and sear each side for 2–3 minutes.
  • Once prawns are cooked, remove and set aside.
  • Add butter into the same pan with the lingering flavours of pan-seared prawns and let it melt.
  • Then, add the golden crumbs mixture and stir-fry until golden brown. Toss in the prawns and mix well.
  • Your fragrant Golden Reunion Tiger Prawns are ready to serve.

 

Chef’s Tip: If you don’t have breadcrumbs, use quick oats or cracker crumbs instead.
